WHAT MISTAKES DID YOU MAKE AS A BEGINNER
AND HOW DIFFICULT IT WAS TO BEGIN?
V.L.: The biggest mistake i made as a beginner was to work out many times a week without having
a real goal. This is a common mistake among beginners, because they do not have a professional on
their side who can give ‘em the right advices.
But then i found my personal couch and trainer Hidetada Yamagishi Francisco Sanudo. He helped
me a lot, to achieve my goals and to get where I am now. THANK YOU!

YOUR TIPS, HOW PEOPLE CAN STAY DEDICATED?
V.L.: Make sure to find time for fast and very intense workouts. Listen to you body, it will tell you
when you need to rest or to workout. Watch your nutrition and go for your goals!
For most people it is easier to workout daily if they see the changes. So make clear to stay lean all
year round and watch your muscularity changing. Maybe it is the best advice I can give you.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
V.L.: I am very proud to be a mother and to have the time to maintain a good physique. It is not
easy to care for my family and be a pro athlete. Everyone is expecting a lot from me and I like to
keep up on what my sponsors need.

GIVE AN ADVICE TO AN UPCOMING GIRL TRYING TO SUCCEED IN THIS BUSINESS?
V.L.: My advice is to go step by step, no rush! There are many good people in the world of fitness,
but also a lot of rivality and jealousy. Be careful!
All athletes want a good contract, but this contract will only come with the time and a lot of hard
work. Some want to go very fast using shortcuts, and this will not work. Work hard and the sponsors

YOU WORK WITH A LOT GREAT PHOTOGRAPHERS. WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORIT SHOOT?
WHAT TYPES OF CARDIO HAVE WORKED BEST FOR YOU?
V.L.: Depends on the time of year and my goals. I always try to be in shape and not to go over 3 kg
of my competition weight. I really like outdoor aerobics, and i also increase cardio session when an
important date is coming. But all in all I work for min. 45 minutes of cardio daily.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE EXCERCISE AND WHY?
V.L.: My favorite exercise is the heavy squat! This exercise powers my ass. Squats and all leg
exercises are essential if you want to achieve a good lower body muscularity and symmetry.

WHAT MUSIC DO YOU LISTEN WHILE YOU WORKOUT?

V.L.: I control my consume of carbohydrates. I adjust my kcal intake depending on what i want to
achieve. When I’m traveling or photoshooting, i keep my kcal intake low, because i can’t keep my
training schedule and burn the plus of the calories.
I note everything I eat in my nutrition book and give it weekly to my couch. But usually I consume
2g of protein per kg of body weight and eat carbohydrates only for breakfast.

My plans for 2014 is to go to a counseling center for athletes in the city of Mexico DF. I like Mexico a lot
and it’s very close to the U.S. so I can travel to citys like Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles time by time
where I have great & many friends.
